A thread on all things oz.
Just wanted to ask if any of you Judyphiles have actually been to Oz? I was born there.
Sydney.
Apparently Judy hated it. Don't blame her! No, it is nice, but I don't remember much, just always being at the beach..we moved when I was little.

yes. It is quite nice and warm. Aussies can be the most friendly bunch..but on the other hand they can be well, a bit awkward and feel inferior as well.
I am not suprised Judy had two totally different receptions in Australia. Just got to remember their convict past has made them the way they are today.

I've just heard a tv travel promo on oz and we use the song 'rainbow' ...Delta Goodrem sings it.
Did Judy ever sing this song? You know, the one that goes, 'red and orange and yellow and green, blue and indigo and violet, I can sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow..'.

She sang a lot about rainbows..maybe too many... rainbows are but illusions, they are rays of sunshine after the rain and a harbinger of hope after death...to me, Judy was trying to bring a message to the world and she conveyed this through her singing and no matter what people did to her..drug her, poision her with drink, starve her, sabotage her shows or tire her through hard work something in her could never die.
Oh yes Oz. Well what do you know I'm thinking about booking a trip to Oz in Sept so who knows? Might see you there? Don't know about that song but I know Delta battled cancer (she is so young!) as did Kylie Minogue..who also sang 'over the rainbow' and raised funds for Breast cancer awareness.

Where abouts in Oz are you going? Not uluru I hope. A gal like you should go to Melbourne. Neighbours! Ramsey st! Apparently Judy loved Melbourne. Or I maybe wrong. Maybe it was Sydney she liked. Lots of gay ppl there. Only if you like that sort of thing though!
